Profiles, organizations and independent teams
Version 0.20.0. Optional photos, clear appearance precedence and explicit group access.
1. Open administration → Account & teams. Your profile photo is optional; PNG, JPEG or WebP images are resized locally and saved only when you confirm. You can also add a photo when registering or confirming email sign-in. Guests use a neutral silhouette.
2. Create organizations or independent teams. A team may link multiple organizations; links never add members or grant access. Add existing accounts as members or administrators, or choose Invite a new member. A one-person group invitation lets its recipient create an account and explicitly join without later administrator follow-up. The group owner cannot be removed or demoted, and only the owner can manage administrators.
3. For agents, kanvas_groups list/group.read and kanvas_groups create/group.member.set provide the same account-wide management. Group changes require the current revision; use role:null to remove a member. Session-limited OAuth cannot manage account-wide groups.
4. In session People & access, the owner can grant viewer/editor access to a team or organization. kanvas_groups access.read returns revisions and kanvas_groups access.set grants, changes or revokes with role:null. Membership is checked on every request. Individual or other group grants still apply after one grant is revoked.
5. In session Settings, associate an organization/team for appearance separately from access. Precedence is session base → organization → team → explicit personal appearance → explicit session overrides. Empty overrides restore inheritance. Existing standalone sessions retain their settings. Branding is optional; personal theme does not remove a selected group logo/palette.
6. Use kanvas_groups update, kanvas_session context.set or kanvas_profile update; inspect current data and revisions first. Groups establish ownership and collective permissions; no payment provider, subscription or charges are activated.
