Filter, sort and highlight source records
Version 0.20.0. Agent-authored presentation rules, without extra filter widgets.
1. Use kanvas_view_navigation selection.set with sessionId, displayId, expectedRevision, requestId and selection. Where conditions filter; sort gives stable multi-field ordering; highlight marks matching rows. No filter boxes, dropdowns or column-sort buttons are added.
2. Full source remains stored with the selection instruction. selection:null restores all rows in original order. Source values, numeric strings and record IDs are never overwritten. Same requestId and input can be retried; a new instruction needs the current revision. Held displays and permissions still apply.
3. Fields are literal keys or dotted paths such as fields.cost. An empty field addresses a scalar list entry. Use type number for exact decimal comparison including large decimal strings; invalid/missing numeric values sort last. Text comparison does not parse dates or currencies.
4. Collections: table.rows, list.items, log.entries, cards/inbox/bookmarks/operations.items, chat/email.messages, tool-inventory.groups, tool-detail.parameters; developer uses files, stages, commits or threads according to kind. Raw logs materialize derivative lines with stable original line numbers.
